Regional Project Manager - Northeast
Client Details
Our client is a mid-sized, privately held General Contractor with a strong foundation in retail construction and a rapidly expanding footprint in hospitality, multifamily, and warehouse/distribution. The organization generates around $400 million in annual revenue, with $100M+ coming from its Northeast operations alone, spanning projects from Maine to Maryland. While the Northeast office is currently based in NYC, a new office will be opened depending on the selected candidate's location-proximity to a major airport is essential.Description
- Project Management: Lead the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall execution of projects including retail, hospitality, multifamily, and distribution facilities.
- Team Leadership: Collaborate closely with Superintendents, internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Safety Compliance: Manage subcontractor performance while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Schedule Management: Provide accurate and timely project updates to both company leadership and client stakeholders.
- Growth Position: Support regional strategic growth initiatives while preparing to transition into a Project Executive role.
Travel Requirements:
- Regional Travel: Weekly or bi-weekly trips across the Northeast (primarily NJ/PA/NY), typically 1-2 days.
- Monthly Travel to Company Headquarters: 1-2 days per month during the first year for cultural and operational alignment.
- Onboarding: 1 full week at the company headquarters.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience, ideally with a diverse portfolio (retail, hospitality, multifamily, industrial, distribution).
- Demonstrated ability to oversee budgets, schedules, client communication, and subcontractor coordination.
- Experience with design-build delivery preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable with regional travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Driven, strategic, and ready to grow into a senior leadership role within the organization.
