Superintendent
This Superintendent role in the property industry focuses on overseeing construction projects and ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The position requires a highly organized individual with strong leadership skills to manage on-site operations and collaborate with teams effectively.
Client Details
A well-established and growing commercial construction firm is seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to lead field operations across a variety of commercial projects. This individual will oversee day-to-day site management, ensure work is performed to high-quality standards, maintain project schedules, and foster strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal project teams.
The ideal candidate is an experienced field leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, and takes pride in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and with exceptional craftsmanship.
Description
- Manage all on-site construction activities from project start through closeout.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures; lead daily/weekly safety meetings.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers regarding scheduling, logistics, materials, and change orders.
- Maintain detailed daily logs, reports, and documentation.
- Assist with problem resolution, conflict management, and maintaining a positive, productive jobsite environment.
- Represent the company professionally with clients, architects, and owners.

Profile
A successful Superintendent should have:
- 5-15 years of field experience in commercial construction, with at least 6 years in a Superintendent capacity.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project sequencing.
- Experience managing ground-up, renovation, or interior fit-out commercial projects.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct field teams.
- Solid knowledge of jobsite safety standards and OSHA compliance.
- Proficiency with construction management software and digital documentation tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
