Construction Superintendent - Manhattan, NY
Seeking an experienced Superintendent with expertise in commercial interiors to join the team, offering one day of remote work per week.
Client Details
Our client is a reputable and established General Contractor with a strong track record delivering high-quality commercial projects throughout the New York metro area. They are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on projects ranging from $1M-$20M+. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Description
Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and daily jobsite logistics.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
Lead daily toolbox talks, progress meetings, and field communication.
Monitor project timelines and proactively address delays or field challenges.
Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and design teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
Review drawings, specifications, and RFIs to keep the project moving smoothly.
Ensure work is executed per plans, quality expectations, and building codes
Profile
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Site Supervisor in commercial construction.
Strong background in interiors, renovations, or ground-up commercial projects (any combination is acceptable).
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and lead field teams.
Solid understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and field coordination.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
