Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Our client is a mid-sized, full-service general contracting firm with over 30 years in the industry, headquartered in Toms River, NJ. Their experienced leadership team brings an average of 28 years of construction expertise, and they've built a strong reputation delivering commercial projects across New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

Projects range in value from $250K to $20M, spanning ground-up builds and interior fit-outs, primarily in the restaurant, retail, hotel, and QSR sectors. With a healthy backlog of 25-30 active projects, this is a company poised for continued growth.

Description

• Site Supervision: Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.

• Schedule Management: Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics to meet project timelines and quality standards.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure safety, compliance, and cleanliness across the job site.

• Team Leadership: Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, clients, inspectors, and subcontractors.

• Quality Control: Monitor progress and report on schedule, cost, and quality performance.

• Documentation: Interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents for field operations.

What we're looking for:

• 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with both ground-up and fit-out projects.

• Open to driven, coachable candidates who may be earlier in their careers but demonstrate curiosity, hustle, and commitment.

• Site work experience is a plus.

• Strong tenure - we're looking for people ready to grow with the company, not job hoppers.

Job Offer

• Competitive Base Salary: up to 120K (commensurate with experience)

• Health Insurance: Company covers up to $800/month for single coverage

• Vehicle: Company vehicle or $400/month allowance

• Phone Allowance: $65/month

• Per Diem & Lodging: Provided for projects requiring significant travel

• Quarterly Bonus: 3% of base salary

• Holiday Bonus
