Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Construction Ground Up will be responsible for:

  • Oversee full project life-cycle from preconstruction through closeout
  • Manage budgets, review estimates, and ensure project profitability
  • Ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation across all phases
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors
  • Provide clear, timely reporting and project documentation
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to keep projects on or ahead of schedule
  • Assist in supervision the project team in line with company standards
  • Coordinate logistics, procurement, schedules, and change orders
  • Maintain accurate records including submittals, RFIs, and as-builts
  • Help drive projects to meet or exceed established deadlines and quality expectations

Profile

The Assistant Project Manager -Ground Up Construction will responsible for:

  • Experienced: Brings 3+ years of proven success in managing commercial construction projects, ideally in sectors like multi-family, retail, or healthcare.
  • A Strong Leader: Capable of motivating teams, managing subcontractors, and maintaining a professional, solutions-oriented work environment.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Skilled at juggling budgets, schedules, submittals, change orders, procurement, and closeout tasks without missing a beat.
  • A Great Communicator: Confident in leading meetings, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and delivering clear, timely updates.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software, with a strong ability to learn and implement new systems.
  • Driven & Adaptable: Shows a sense of urgency, strong problem-solving skills, and the flexibility to navigate complex, high-budget projects.
