Project Manager- Commercial Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects for a general contractor based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

Description

• Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost reports.

• Lead subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and change management.

• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal field teams.

• Oversee RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project documentation.

• Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule, cost, or quality.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company procedures.

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor in Florida.

• Proven track record managing commercial construction projects (retail, office, restaurant, hospitality, or similar).

• Strong knowledge of Florida building codes, permitting processes, and subcontractor market.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
