Environmental Health & Safety Lead
This role leads all daily Environmental, Health & Safety operations for a high‑precision manufacturing facility, owning strategy, compliance, culture, and continuous improvement. You'll serve as the plant's primary EH&S authority, partnering closely with leadership to elevate safety systems, programs, and employee engagement.

Description
- Own the site's entire EH&S program-including audits, training, policies, and incident management-ensuring readiness for regulatory, customer, and insurance audits.
- Lead safety culture through floor presence, coaching, hazard identification, and driving closure of corrective actions.
- Run the Safety Committee, build structured agendas/action logs, and maintain consistent communication with cross‑functional leaders.
- Conduct and/or coordinate industrial hygiene assessments (noise, air, ergonomics), recommending controls, PPE upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage environmental compliance activities such as waste handling, spill prevention, documentation, and scheduled inspections.
- Serve as the first responder for incidents and near‑misses-leading investigation, root cause analysis, reporting, and trend analysis for leadership

Profile
A successful EHS Lead should have:
- 3-7+ years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, or 10+ years hands‑on experience in lieu of a degree.
- Solid understanding of OSHA fundamentals, LOTO, PPE programs, hazard communication, and incident management.
- Experience running safety committees, leading training, and performing investigations and root cause analysis.
- Comfortable on the floor with strong communication skills and the ability to coach employees at all levels.
- Ability to coordinate or manage sampling vendors for industrial hygiene needs such as noise, air quality, and ergonomics.
- Organized, detail‑driven, and tech‑comfortable with systems like Excel, Teams/SharePoint, or safety platforms.
