Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Projects in North Shore
We are partnering with a well-established general contractor to hire an Assistant Project Manager to support high-volume interior construction projects across New England. This role offers strong exposure to client-facing work, repeat customers, and steady project flow within a growing regional office.

Our client is a national construction firm with over 60 years in business and more than 10 offices across the U.S., with continued expansion underway. Their New England operations are based in Amesbury, MA and focus primarily on tenant fit-out and interior renovation projects for financial institutions and corporate clients. With approximately $150M in annual revenue and over 90% of work coming from repeat clients, they are known for long-term partnerships, consistency of workload, and operational stability.
Description
- Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day execution of multiple interior projects
- Support budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking
- Help manage tenant fit-outs and occupied renovation work
- Review drawings, scopes, and change orders for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation
- Participate in client and internal meetings, both virtually and on site
- Support projects across MA, NH, CT, and ME as needed

Profile
A successful Assistant Project Manager (APM) should have:
- 3-5 years of experience in an Assistant Project Manager or similar role
- Background in banking, financial institutions, or high-volume interior projects strongly preferred
- Experience with tenant improvements or occupied renovations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Ability to commute to the Amesbury, MA office (minimum 3 days per week)
