Retail Construction Project Manager - Manhattan, NY
We are seeking a Commercial Interiors Project Manager to deliver retail and restaurant fit-outs across Westchester County and the surrounding market. This role focuses on high-pace, client-facing projects including restaurants, storefronts, rollouts, and boutique retail interiors from preconstruction through turnover.

Our client is a well-established GC specializing in retail and restaurant construction, known for executing aggressive schedules without sacrificing quality. They work with repeat retail brands, restaurateurs, and ownership groups and offer a collaborative environment with real autonomy at the PM level.
Description
- Manage interior retail and restaurant construction projects end-to-end
- Oversee fast-track schedules with weekend/night work as required
- Coordinate complex interior scopes: MEP, grease traps, hood systems, HVAC
- Manage restaurant-specific build items including kitchens and bar fit-outs
- Lead subcontractor buyout, scopes, and sequencing for tight turnover dates
- Drive construction schedules, 2-4 week lookaheads, and critical path items
- Handle RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and city approvals
- Manage budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and contingency
- Price and execute change orders quickly for client and tenant revisions
- Coordinate landlord/building management requirements and access constraints
- Lead weekly OAC meetings and client walkthroughs
- Manage inspections, punch lists, closeout, and certificate of occupancy
- Use Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, and MS Project to track project delivery

Profile
A successful Project Manager should have:
- 4+ years as a Project Manager or Senior APM in retail or restaurant construction
- Direct experience with tenant fit-outs, rollouts, or QSR/full-service restaurants
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, MEP coordination, and life safety
- Proven success delivering projects on aggressive schedules
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong subcontractor management and field coordination skills
- Client-facing communicator who can handle owners, tenants, and designers
- Procore and Bluebeam experience strongly preferred
- Experience in occupied buildings and urban logistics a plus
- Westchester County / NYC metro retail experience preferred
Job Offer
