Our Client is seeking an experienced Marine Project Manager to lead and oversee marine construction projects across the North East and Mid-Atlantic. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in marine and heavy civil construction, and the ability to manage complex projects from planning through completion while ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance.

Our Client is a specialized heavy civil and marine construction contractor based in South Jersey. They are known for delivering complex infrastructure projects along the waterfront, including marine structures, dredging, pile driving, bulkheads, piers, and coastal protection systems.

The company typically serves public agencies, municipalities, and private clients who require durable solutions for ports, harbors, bridges, and shoreline stabilization. Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution:

    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for marine construction projects.
    • Coordinate all phases of construction, including permitting, procurement, and subcontractor management.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and direct project teams, including field crews and subcontractors.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
    • Provide regular progress updates and resolve issues promptly.
  • Quality & Compliance:

    • Monitor work to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and Agate Construction standards.
    • Implement best practices for marine construction and environmental stewardship.
  • Financial Oversight:

    • Track project costs, manage change orders, and ensure profitability.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.

Profile



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine or heavy civil construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of marine construction techniques, dredging, pile driving, and coastal infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging marine environments and travel to project sites as needed.
