Project Manager - Luxury Multifamily Construction

The Project Manager will lead the execution of ground-up luxury multifamily construction projects, overseeing all aspects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires strong experience managing vertical construction, coordinating large trade packages, and maintaining financial control on schedule-driven projects.

Our client is a leading General Contractor specializing in high-end multifamily and mixed-use construction across the Chicagoland market. With a strong presence in the O'Hare / Rosemont submarket, they deliver luxury residential, podium-style, and mid- to high-rise developments for well-capitalized developers.

Description

Our Project Manager will:

• Manage luxury multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Lead subcontractor buyout, scope alignment, and contract execution
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in coordination with field teams
• Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all project documentation
• Coordinate with Superintendents on vertical construction sequencing and execution
• Interface directly with developers and ownership groups
• Ensure quality standards are met, particularly in unit finishes and amenity spaces
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain schedule and budget performance
• Support and mentor APMs or junior staff

Profile

A successful Project Managerwill have:

• 5-10+ years of experience in construction with a General Contractor
• Proven experience on ground-up multifamily or mixed-use projects
• Strong understanding of vertical construction, scheduling, and cost control
• Experience managing large subcontractor scopes and complex coordination
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and financial tracking tools
