Construction Superintendent - Civi Construction

The Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of civil construction projects, with a focus on wastewater and water treatment facilities. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

  • Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
  • Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team to resolve challenges and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, schedules, and reports.
  • Support the development of junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Proven experience managing civil construction projects, particularly in wastewater and water treatment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage on-site teams effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
