Description
The key responsibilities of the Senior Process Engineer are:
- Help the team produce high-quality products safely and consistently.
- Improve equipment reliability by setting up systems to reduce breakdowns and delays.
- Use predictive and preventive maintenance tools to reduce equipment failures.
- Recommend long-term upgrades to machinery and processes using best practices and team input.
- Support the yearly budgeting process by defining project needs and costs.
- Help plan and manage maintenance spending in your area.
- Lead or support cross-functional teams to address recurring problems and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Run or assist with in-depth problem-solving sessions to uncover root causes.
- Manage projects from start to finish, including choosing vendors, preparing safety documents, and overseeing installations.
- Coordinate resources from both maintenance and production during scheduled shutdowns.
- Track and report key reliability metrics to find areas needing improvement.
- Set up and maintain equipment lists and conduct risk assessments for important assets.
- Develop maintenance strategies like FMEA or RCM for critical machinery.
- Write or update standard procedures as needed to reflect changes or improvements.
- Stay involved with day-to-day operations and be a go-to person on the floor for troubleshooting.
- Promote safety and follow all policies and regulations.
- Explore new technologies and suggest tools to enhance performance.
- Work with maintenance teams to create predictive maintenance schedules.
- Support changes in processes that may impact safety or product quality.
- Report on reliability efforts and projects during team meetings.
- Help align team goals with broader company and site objectives.

Profile
The successful Senior Process Engineer will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in process engineering within a manufacturing setting (metals preferred); or 5 years of relevant experience.
- Comfortable using CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
- Must be available to work flexible hours if needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship is offered for this role.
