Junior Estimator
The Entry-Level Estimator will support the preconstruction and estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects. Client Details
A growing and well-respected commercial construction firm located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago is seeking an Entry-Level Estimator to join its team. This company specializes in a variety of commercial and light industrial projects and is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to professional development.
Description
- Assist in quantity take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and scope details
- Help prepare bid packages and proposals
- Maintain estimating databases and project documentation
- Collaborate with project managers and senior estimators during preconstruction
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Internship or coursework in estimating or construction preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
