Client Details
My client is an exciting, growing General Contractor based locally in Western Mass. They are in an exciting growth phase, having doubled their YOY growth. They offer a diverse portfolio of commercial projects including corporate, non-profit, industrial, education & more. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to minimize travel and work on projects that are local to the area!
Description
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of construction activities and resources.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate project execution.
- Review project drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance with design intent.
- Prepare, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules, and report any deviations to the Project Manager.
- Assist with procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Support quality control efforts and help resolve on-site technical issues.
- Participate in site inspections, progress meetings, and safety walks.
Profile
- 2+years years of construction experience working for a General Contractor
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related preferred (or relevant experience)
- Project experience in corporate, academic, retail, industrial or related
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Ability to mulitask
- Strong communication and interpersonal skill
