Production Support Engineer

This Production Support Engineer position involves ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems, mainly focusing on troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing system performance in a fast-paced environment. This role requires 3-days onsite in Midtown Manhattan.

Description

• Provide technical support for production systems, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues.
• Analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system-related challenges and deploy updates.
• Monitor system alerts and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system processes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Assist in deploying and testing new applications or system updates in production environments.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions to prevent future disruptions.
• Support end-users by addressing technical inquiries and providing training when necessary.

Profile

This successful Production Support Engineer should have:

• Strong technical skills with a focus on system troubleshooting and maintenance within a trading floor
• ITIL knowledge
• Understanding of job scheduling tools (IE: Control-M or Autosys)
• Exposure to monitoring tools, such as Splunk, are heavily preferred
• Shell scripting knowledge
• Experience working in the financial services industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and supporting end-users.
