We are supporting a well‑established Knoxville‑based general contractor in their search for an experienced Travelling Superintendent. This individual will oversee ground‑up commercial projects across multiple states, ensuring quality, safety, and on‑schedule delivery while serving as the GC's lead representative onsite.

They have a strong regional presence, excellent subcontractor relationships, and a supportive team culture. Their travelling division benefits from steady repeat business and a reliable backlog of out‑of‑town projects.Description
- Lead all onsite field operations for ground‑up commercial, healthcare, and light industrial projects
- Manage daily activities, subcontractor coordination, and site logistics
- Enforce safety standards, quality expectations, and company procedures
- Maintain project schedules and communicate daily with Project Managers
- Produce accurate daily logs, documentation, and progress reports
- Conduct site meetings and represent the GC professionally with owners and inspectors
- Troubleshoot issues proactively to keep projects on track
- Travel regularly for multi‑month project assignments
Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction
- Experience overseeing ground‑up projects required
- Strong field management skills and knowledge of construction methods
- Ability to lead subcontractors and maintain tight schedules
- Proficiency with construction/field software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc., preferred)
- Willingness to travel frequently and stay on project sites as needed
