The Preconstruction Manager - Strong Pipeline & Reputation - Charlotte will be responsible for:
As Preconstruction Manager, you will be responsible for leading estimating and preconstruction efforts across a variety of commercial project types. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing preconstruction activities from concept through final pricing
- Preparing detailed estimates, budgets, and cost models
- Leading value engineering and constructability reviews
- Coordinating subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and scope reviews
- Partnering closely with operations to ensure smooth project handoffs
- Supporting client presentations, proposals, and interviews
- Analyzing market conditions and material pricing trends
- Maintaining accurate historical cost data and benchmarking
Profile
The Preconstruction Manager - Strong Pipeline & Reputation - Charlotte should have:
- 7+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating with a GC
- Strong commercial construction background across multiple project types
- Proven experience leading conceptual and detailed estimates
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to collaborate with operations, design teams, and ownership
- Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software
