EHS Specialist
This role leads the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and proactive workplace across manufacturing operations. It focuses on driving safety culture, managing compliance initiatives, conducting investigations and training, and supporting continuous improvement in all EH&S practices.

Description
- Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS policies and procedures.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Prepare and submit required EHS reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
Profile
A successful EHS Specialist should have:
- B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2-5 years of experience in an EH&S role, ideally within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MassDEP, RCRA, Life Safety, EH&S practices, and Industrial Hygiene methods; HAZWOPER preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and collaboration.
- Proven ability to analyze data and implement practical solutions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
