Lead UI Engineer - Data Team
We are looking for a Lead UI Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated testing solutions for an Excel-based add-in supporting our client's Data Team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in URT, Excel, and AI tools, along with a proven track record of mentoring junior engineers.

Description
Develop and maintain UFT-based UI automation for Excel add-ins, including modular, data-driven frameworks and reusable VBScript code.
Simulate and validate complex Excel UI workflows, using UFT for interaction testing, SQL for data validation, and Gen AI tools to enhance automation.
Integrate and execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bamboo, GitHub Actions); track and resolve defects using JIRA.
Drive quality improvements by analyzing failures, enhancing frameworks, documenting test assets, mentoring junior QAs, and promoting best practices.
Profile
5+ years of UI automation experience with UFT in enterprise environments; strong skills in Object Repository, Descriptive Programming, and VBScript.
Expertise in building modular, data-driven, and keyword-driven UFT frameworks; skilled in debugging and optimizing test scripts.
Solid understanding of Excel object models, Office automation, SQL for test data, and CI/CD tools like Bamboo and GitHub Actions.
Strong communicator with problem-solving skills; experience with Agentic AI tools and mentoring or leading junior QA team members preferred.
