Superintendent - Public Construction South Jersey

The Superintendent (public/school) will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.

Client Details

This General Contractor is a well-established, mid-sized Public Construction GC with work all over Central / North New Jersey. They specialize in a ton of school construction and have a stable project pipeline. They're looking for an additional Superintendent due to growth.

Description

• Supervise all on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to meet project deadlines.
• Monitor project progress and address any delays or challenges in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations at all times on the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and resolve any issues that arise.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders regarding project updates.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and project records.
• Assist in budget management by monitoring expenses and minimizing costs where possible.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• Proven experience in Public (schools) construction space, specifically in managing on-site construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
• Problem-solving abilities to address project challenges and ensure successful outcomes.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
