Senior Quality Engineer - Billerica, MA
Client Details

- Oversee and maintain the company's quality management systems, ensuring compliance with AS9100D, ISO9001:2015, and customer requirements.
- Lead all external audits (AS9100/ISO, FAA, major customers) and manage effective corrective and preventive action systems.
- Serve as the primary customer liaison to resolve quality issues, manage complaints, and ensure clear communication of quality expectations.
- Develop quality plans for new product introductions using APQP/PPAP methodologies and prepare AS9102-compliant first article inspections.
- Review engineering documentation, purchase orders, and technical requirements to validate compliance during new product builds and repairs.
- Participate in design reviews and MRB activities to guide quality decisions and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor corrective action progress and communicate program status to leadership.
- Ensure all quality manuals, procedures, and documentation meet internal and external standards.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 5-7 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace strongly preferred).
- Experience with customer release programs such as FAA DMIR or GE DSQR.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and customer-specific quality flow‑downs.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience is beneficial.
- Strong communicator with proven problem‑solving, organization, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow professionally.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
