Superintendent | Commercial TI | San Francisco

The role of Superintendent involves overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of commercial TI construction processes.

Client Details

Our client is a reputable General Contractor who specializes in commercial tenant improvement projects and is experiencing rapid growth driven by a strong repeat client base and a significant project backlog. Current revenues are in the $65-75M range, with projections to grow to $100-150M next year and long-term goals of $200-250M within four years.

They recently secured several large opportunities, including a 150,000 sq. ft. AI TI project and a potential major HQ build-out in San Francisco. Typical project sizes range from $5-7M, with multiple larger projects between $15-30M.

Description

• Manage all on-site construction activities for commercial TI projects.
• Lead daily coordination with subcontractors, ensuring proper sequencing and quality control.
• Drive schedule development and weekly updates using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient job site.
• Work closely with Project Managers, clients, architects, and engineers to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Review plans, specs, and subcontractor scopes to anticipate needs and mitigate risk.
• Support logistical planning, inspections, and closeout processes.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• Experience as a Superintendent for commercial TI projects is required.
• Must come from a comparable GC environment
• Proficiency with P6 or MS Project is required.
• Strong understanding of field operations, build sequencing, MEP coordination, safety, and quality management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage fast-paced projects and multiple subcontractor teams effectively.
