Senior Quality Engineer - Automotive Manufacturer

My client is seeking a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer, depending on experience, to join their Quality Department. This facility is working toward IATF 16949 certification and is already ISO 9001 certified. Strong ISO knowledge is required, while experience with IATF and silicone products will make a candidate stand out.

My client is a long-standing, stable organization with operations nationwide. This facility focuses on silicone-based products serving a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, retail, and transit. Employing roughly 130 people, the site is entering an exciting growth phase as it begins partnerships with several Fortune 500 companies, including Tesla, GE, and Boeing.

Description

• Participate in enhancing the manufacturing process by conducting studies to identify issues, providing solutions or recommendations, and implementing corrective or preventive actions.
• Analyze defective products or processes to determine root causes and offer input on corrective and preventive measures to prevent future failures. Implement solutions to improve yield.
• Conduct internal and external audits on products and processes to ensure compliance with specifications. Review and approve various quality documents.
• Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and customers to drive improvement activities and ensure products and processes meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Lead quality and customer complaint investigations to resolve quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
• Support the qualification of new products, processes, or equipment through data collection and analysis.
• Assist in maintaining quality systems standards.

Profile

• At least 3 years of experience in quality manufacturing
• Experience with ISO 9001
• Experience with working with customers
• Any IATF 16949 and/or silicone experience is a plus

Job Offer

• $80,000 - $105,000 salary
