Legal Recruiting Assistant
Assist with the legal recruiting function while providing support to the Director, Legal Recruiting and other members of the recruitment staff.

A well established and reputable global law firm based in Mid-town Manhattan
Description
- Assist in preparation, coordination and scheduling of on-campus and in-house interviews for lateral associates, judicial law clerks and summer candidates.
- Assist with legal recruiting activities, including organization and updates of recruiting materials for on-campus interviews, in-office interviews, career fairs and presentations; travel arrangements for out-of-town candidates; recruitment database input; updates and follow-up with attorneys.
- Compile materials for on-campus interviews and hospitality suites; assist in the planning of receptions and events.
- Assist recruitment staff with planning Summer Associate Program, including creation of summer rotation schedule; communication with recruits prior to arrival; assisting with housing as needed.
- Assist in planning and facilitating summer events, summer calendar, logistics, invitations, marketing initiatives, attorney handbook, summer associate binders and summer gifts.
- Provide administrative support to Departments during the summer program (monitor assignment/evaluation process; organize luncheons; social activities and departmental coordinator meetings, nametags).
- Provide administrative assistance, including expense reimbursements; law firm split expense billing statements and follow-up to the Legal Recruiting team.
- Attend training classes and complete annual training requirements for skills enhancement.
- Maintain inventory of recruitment marketing materials, promotional items and department storage records.
- Recruitment database entry; monitoring of evaluations; filing/duplicating and various clerical tasks; maintain organized project and student files; greet and escort applicants; answer phones, take messages and respond to inquiries.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service relationships with candidates, vendors and attorneys, managers and support staff.
- Any additional responsibilities as required by management.
Profile
- 1+ years' intern experience in legal or campus recruitment for a professional services or Big Law firm desirable
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and within budget.
- Self-starter; ability to remain self-directed and self-motivated with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed (significant overtime during summer/fall).
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent PC skills.
- Make appropriate and timely decisions within area of responsibility.
- Speak and write clearly and accurately; actively listens and responds to the needs of others.
- Without direction, anticipates needs and seeks alternatives to situations.
- Bachelor's degree required.
