They are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent with a track record of managing large-scale, ground‑up projects. This individual will be responsible for driving the daily execution of complex builds, overseeing field teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring projects meet strict safety, quality, and scheduling standards. Description
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Lead all project activities with the highest level of honesty, integrity, and ethical compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, design teams (architects/engineers), consultants, and internal stakeholders for day‑to‑day project execution.
- Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project schedules, including critical path analysis and coordination of long‑lead, mission‑critical equipment and materials essential to data center delivery.
- Oversee the implementation and enforcement of all safety programs, ensuring full compliance with company standards and industry regulations across all subcontractors and site operations.
- Make strategic decisions related to project performance, including scheduling, logistics planning, delivery sequencing, quality control, and staffing strategies for all trade partners.
- Coordinate and oversee daily activities among all trades to ensure seamless field operations, efficient workflow, and alignment with project milestones.
- Troubleshoot and resolve project‑level challenges involving design clarifications, procedural conflicts, resource availability, and equipment or labor constraints.
- Build and manage strong working relationships with subcontractors, including handling labor relations issues as they arise.
- Review, approve, and manage mock‑ups, testing procedures, and commissioning‑related activities specific to data center systems.
- Track and support project financial performance, assisting in maintaining budgets and identifying risks or cost‑saving opportunities.
- Participate in the billing process, including Work‑In‑Place (WIP) reporting, verification of completed work, and review of subcontractor invoices and payment applications.
- Ensure all work is executed in full compliance with approved contract documents, specifications, and quality expectations unique to mission‑critical environments.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to evaluate, document, and implement design changes or value‑engineering solutions.
- Maintain continuous, clear communication with all project partners to keep stakeholders informed of progress, issues, and decisions.
- Lead or support project meetings, including preparing agendas, facilitating discussions, and capturing meeting minutes when required.
- Take on additional responsibilities as directed by executive leadership to support overall project or organizational objectives.
Profile
The successul Senior Project Manager will have:
- 6 or more years experience as a lead Superintendent responsible for leading large project sites in one or more of the following areas: Hyperscale Datacenters, Complex Industrial Projects, or Large Scale Vertical Construction
- Must be able to apply effective management techniques to maximize project performance.
- Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is essential.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.
- Must have previous experience managing construction projects on large, complex and on multiple projects, scheduling and maintaining financial control of the project.
- 4-year engineering, construction management degree is preferred but not required
