Construction Superintendent - Portland, ME

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Superintendents to oversee construction projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in the property industry and a strong ability to manage teams effectively.

Client Details

This Maine-based general contractor has a long-standing reputation for quality work, strong relationships, and LEAN construction practices. Now led by a new leadership team since 2020, the company has expanded both its service offerings and geographic reach while remaining committed to its core values. Headquartered just outside Portland, they complete ground-up projects across Central and Southern Maine, with most work concentrated in the Portland area. Typical project values range from $7M-$60M, spanning multifamily, municipal, education, commercial, government, and healthcare markets. They regularly compete with several well-known regional contractors.

Description

  • Oversee daily construction site operations and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
  • Monitor and enforce safety guidelines and procedures on-site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to project standards.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and provide project updates as needed.
  • Ensure proper allocation of resources and materials on-site.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and documentation as required.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction field.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
