Director of Maintenance - Aerospace & Defense
The Director of Maintenance will oversee maintenance operations within the aerospace and defense industry, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of equipment and systems. This role is based in San Diego and requires expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Description
- Lead the development and implementation of preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
- Oversee reliability engineering initiatives to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Manage and optimize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track and schedule maintenance activities.
- Direct and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational objectives and compliance requirements.
- Analyze data and generate reports to monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards across all maintenance operations.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance maintenance processes.

Profile
A successful Director of Maintenance should have:
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) methodologies.
- Experience with reliability engineering practices and tools.
- Proficiency in using CMMS for tracking and scheduling maintenance tasks.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various departments effectively.
- A background in aerospace and defense or a related industry is preferred.
