Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing procurement activities and supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role is essential for optimizing supply chain processes and supporting operational success in the industrial and manufacturing industry.

Description

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier contracts.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and company policies in procurement processes.

Profile

A successful Senior Buyer should have:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain management practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and demand forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial and manufacturing industry standards and regulations.
  • Aerospace/Defense experience
  • 10+ years of buying experience
