Process Engineer- Industrial- Barrington, NH
The Process Engineer will play a key role in optimizing rubber molding and injection molding processes to improve efficiency and product quality. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background in polymer processing and a passion for solving complex manufacturing challenges.
Client Details
Our client is a small-sized manufacturing company specializing injection molding, plastics and rubber components. They are continuing to expand while acquiring several new locations locally and across the country.
Description
- Design, develop, and optimize rubber molding and injection molding processes to improve productivity, cycle times, and product quality.
- Analyze molding and curing data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that reduce scrap and enhance consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, and production) to ensure process alignment with company goals and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for rubber molding and injection molding operations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards specific to polymer processing.
- Provide technical support and training to molding technicians and production staff on best practices and troubleshooting.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as reducing cycle times, improving mold design, and enhancing material flow.
- Evaluate and recommend new molding technologies, tooling, and equipment to improve efficiency and product performance.

Profile
A successful Process Engineer should have:
- BS in Engineering or relevant experience in rubber, plastics or injection molding.
- Strong independent hands on process and manufacturing skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards in manufacturing.
