IT Support Consultant
We are seeking an IT Support Contractor to join a fast‑paced Systems Support team supporting a global, high‑performance user base. This is a software-focused Level 1 and Level 2 support role within a structured, enterprise environment.
- Long term contract
- First 30-35 days: 5 days/week onsite for training
- Post-training: Hours 11AM-8PM EST Hybrid flexibility (currently ~5 days/month onsite)

Leading financial client located in Downtown, Manhattan. Hours of this role are 11AM-8PM EST.
Description
Act as a primary point of contact for end users, delivering Level 1 and Level 2 software support
Troubleshoot issues across 100 internal and third‑party applications, including trading and financial tools
Diagnose and resolve problems related to:
- Windows OS, user profiles, and access issues
- Active Directory (users, groups, permissions)
- DNS and DHCP fundamentals
- Basic network connectivity and access
- Authentication, permissions, and account-related issues
Accurately document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system (e.g., Jira)
Own issues end-to-end and escalate appropriately when needed
Collaborate with Systems Engineers, Team Leads, and global support teams
Profile
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of core Windows infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Ability to confidently explain and perform Windows troubleshooting
- Solid network troubleshooting fundamentals (IP connectivity, access issues)
- Experience supporting users in a corporate or enterprise end‑user environment
- Professional communication skills and strong customer service instincts
- Ability to work 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM onsite in New York City
Nice to Have
- PowerShell (a plus, not required)
- Basic security knowledge (account access, security best practices)
- Exposure to Linux environments
- Jira or similar ticketing systems
- CompTIA Network+ or similar certifications
Experience Level
- Industry background flexible
- 3-10 years of relevant experience
