VP of Engineering - Jupiter, FL

The VP of Engineering will oversee the end‑to‑end engineering strategy for highly complex, high‑reliability hardware systems. The role includes responsibility for long‑term technical direction, systems, design, analysis, prototyping, testing, validation, and transition to production. The VP will ensure cross‑functional engineering alignment, operational excellence, and full compliance with applicable regulatory and safety standards.

A rapidly scaling technology company developing next‑generation, compact, high‑performance systems used in mission‑critical environments. The organization operates within a highly regulated sector requiring rigorous quality, safety, and engineering discipline.


Description



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a long‑term engineering roadmap aligned with corporate strategy
  • Provide technical leadership and serve as an advisor to senior executives and external stakeholders
  • Oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for design, analysis, integration, and testing
  • Lead systems engineering processes, risk identification, and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, safety documentation, and quality assurance standards
  • Drive design‑for‑manufacturing initiatives and support transition from prototype to production
  • Partner with Operations, Compliance, and Executive teams on organizational planning and execution
  • Build, mentor, and scale a world‑class engineering organization
  • Lead technical engagement with strategic partners, regulatory bodies, and external collaborators

Profile



Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred)
  • 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership within regulated, high‑complexity hardware environments
  • Experience managing large, multidisciplinary engineering teams (50+ people)
  • Proven track record leading products from concept through commercialization
  • Strong foundation in safety‑critical engineering and regulated compliance frameworks
  • Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to translate technical strategy into business impact
  • Experience in growth‑stage or innovation‑driven organizations is a strong plus
  • Eligibility for government‑related clearances is beneficial but not required
