Description

  • Lead all preconstruction activities including conceptual estimating, schematic pricing, and detailed budgets.

  • Manage the bid process, including subcontractor outreach, qualification, and proposal evaluations.

  • Collaborate closely with project management, operations, and design teams to ensure budget, design intent, constructability, and schedule are aligned.

  • Prepare and present cost models, value engineering options, and alternative solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain and update historical cost data, market pricing trends, and subcontractor relationships.

  • Oversee preconstruction schedules and ensure accurate, timely deliverables.

Profile

  • 7+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating, ideally with a commercial general contractor.

  • Strong background in commercial project types-such as office, retail, warehouse/industrial, hospitality, or mixed-use.

  • Deep understanding of construction means, methods, and market pricing in the South Florida region.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently lead presentations to clients and internal leadership.

  • Proficient with estimating and take-off software; ability to interpret plans and specifications with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
