This role is ideal for someone who understands the complexities of public work and thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Description

• Manage all phases of public construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Coordinate with city agencies, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, prevailing wage requirements, and safety regulations
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Oversee procurement, change orders, and cost control
• Resolve field issues and ensure timely project delivery

Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing public construction projects in NYC
• Strong knowledge of NYC agency protocols (DDC, SCA, DASNY, etc.)
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project)
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
