Public Project Manager - New York, NY
Are you a proven leader who thrives managing large-scale public works projects from design through completion? We're hiring a Public Project Manager to join a top-tier general contractor dedicated to executing heavy, complex government and institutional construction under tight standards, schedules, and public accountability.

Description
Lead public work projects from planning through turnover, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met
Oversee all project phases, including scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control
Coordinate with architects, engineers, government agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams
Proactively manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and risk mitigation strategies
Maintain compliance with all city, state, and federal requirements while driving safety initiatives
Mentor and lead project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability
Profile
- Qualified Experience in Construction Project Management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
