Superintendent

We're supporting a well‑respected general contractor based in Knoxville seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee local ground‑up and renovation commercial projects. This individual will lead all onsite construction activities, manage subcontractor coordination, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Description

• Lead daily onsite field operations for local ground‑up and renovation commercial projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, inspections, and scheduling
• Enforce all safety protocols and maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Conduct site meetings with owners, design teams, inspectors, and trade partners
• Maintain daily reports, photos, and documentation in coordination with the Project Manager
• Oversee quality control, material deliveries, and adherence to construction plans
• Resolve field issues proactively to keep work on track and aligned with project goals
• Represent the GC professionally as the primary onsite point of contact

Profile

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
• Proven ability to lead ground‑up or renovation projects
• Strong understanding of field operations, sequencing, and construction methods
• Excellent subcontractor coordination and communication skills
• Proficiency in field management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining safety and quality
