Equities Front Office Developer
We seek an Equities Front Office Developer with hands-on experience in Java within the Equities development space. Experience with trading platforms, Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonaType, SonarQube, Tenable, Invicti and Zero Networks are required. MUST BE LOCAL TO NYC!

A Wealth Management Firm known for its extensive range of financial products and services, including asset management, risk management, and advisory services.
Description
Develop and support front-office equities trading applications using Java.
Collaborate closely with traders and business users to implement new features and optimize workflows.
Integrate with industry platforms such as Nuvoprime API and SwapOne.
Apply security best practices across the software development lifecycle.
Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshoot and optimize performance in real-time trading environments.
Contribute to code quality, testing, and documentation efforts
Profile
Technical Expertise: 5+ years of Java development experience with strong proficiency in Spring, Hibernate, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and databases such as SQL Server, QuestDB, or Snowflake. Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and secure coding best practices.
Domain Knowledge: Proven experience working with equities or equity derivatives trading platforms and workflows, with familiarity in the FIX protocol. Prior experience in capital markets or financial services is preferred.
Tooling & Methodologies: Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, and SonarQube. Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and version control using Git.
Desirable Skills: Exposure to AI/ML, observability tools (ElasticSearch, Kibana, Splunk), leading trading platforms (FlexTrade, Quod, Murex), cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and knowledge of regulatory/compliance frameworks in the equities trading space.
