Senior Production Manager - Walpole, MA
My client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Production Manager to oversee multiple manufacturing departments. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking leader passionate about operational excellence, continuous improvement, and team development. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, this individual will play a key role in shaping long-term production strategies and driving transformational change.

Description
The Senior Production Manager will be involved with:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a multi-year strategy for machine shop operations to support growth and innovation.
- Operational Oversight: Manage and align various production areas (e.g., machining, press operations, inspection) to ensure efficiency and collaboration.
- Lean & CI Initiatives: Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement efforts to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Team Development: Mentor and support team members, fostering leadership growth and technical skill development.
- Performance Management: Own and drive KPIs related to safety, quality, cost, and throughput.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, supply chain, quality, and finance teams to meet production goals.
- Technology & Innovation: Promote adoption of automation, advanced technologies, and best practices to maintain industry leadership.
- Change Leadership: Support cultural transformation focused on empowerment, engagement, and continuous improvement

Profile
A successful Senior Production Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, with multi-department oversight.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Demonstrated success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Experience in CNC machining, tooling, or precision manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and change management skills.
