Audit Manager, Branch & CUSO

The Audit Manager will lead Branch audit engagements from planning, fieldwork testing, and issuance of audit reports. The Internal Audit Manager is also responsible for the tracking and validation of remediated audit findings and coordinating with Head Office (HO) and the local audit service provider for internal audit practice, as applicable.

Description

• Manages audits, develops audit programs and performs audit testing in line with the documented audit procedures (included in the Audit Manual) and the IIA Standards
• Reviews and approves auditor's workpapers and other deliverables covering all phases of an audit engagement
• Drafts audit issues and recommends corrective actions, and communicates audit results with stakeholders
• Follows up on management action plans to ensure adequate remediation of audit issues
• Validates issue closures based on control design, operating effectiveness, and sustainability and reviews audit issue validation report
• Coordinates and reviews regulatory issues validation
• Facilitates and communicates requests for information between internal audit provider and departments/teams and routinely monitor the timeliness of material submission
• Provides audit status updates to Head Office, executive management, and related authorities including regulators, specialized committees of the Branch
• Works as a team member, as well as independently, to produce strong audit results and maintain professional independence and sound judgment in executing all audit and other assignments

Profile

A successful Audit Manager, Branch & CUSO should have:

• Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or another business-oriented field
• Prior experience in internal audit, control testing, or management consulting, preferably in a financial institution environment
• At least 6 years of related experience in financial services: including knowledge of regulatory rules and the programs used to comply with key risk management requirements
• Internal Audit experience in banking risk management or operational audit preferred
