Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Client Details
Our Client is a global leader in peristaltic pumps and fluid path technologies, serving life sciences and process industries.
Description
- Drive process improvements to enhance KPIs and support volume growth for existing and new product assembly cells.
- Collaborate with global teams to standardize processes and equipment for high-quality pump production.
- Manage procurement of specialized and modified equipment for new product lines.
- Prepare and execute capital expenditure requests for facility operations.
- Lead safety and lean initiatives, including ergonomic assessments and standard work development.
- Implement robust process controls to minimize waste, scrap, and rework.
- Oversee knowledge transfer for precision pump manufacturing, including virtual and on-site reviews.
- Ensure safe and ergonomic design of assembly equipment and cells.
- Support new product development by aligning manufacturing requirements with efficient processes.
- Drive continuous improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage procurement of jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids; verify equipment performance.
- Maintain ERP system data for production routing, Kanban setup, and work orders.
- Provide troubleshooting and diagnostics for assembly equipment.
- Assist in resolving production issues and customer complaints.
- Recommend and justify new processes and equipment to improve productivity.
- Ensure adherence to design change protocols and oversee operator training.
Profile
- Extensive experience in manufacturing, preferably extrusion, with SPC knowledge.
- Skilled in analyzing and optimizing extrusion processes and equipment.
- Proficient in lean tools and workflow optimization.
- Experience in cleanroom manufacturing (Class 7 preferred).
- Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD, FMEA, DFMA, RCA; Six Sigma certification preferred.
- MS in Engineering (Plastics/Extrusion) or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years in manufacturing engineering.
