Materials Planner

The Materials Planner will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the Procurement & Supply Chain department of a technology & telecoms company. This position requires a detail-oriented professional to manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and optimize supply chain processes in Exeter.

Description

• Plan and schedule material requirements to support production and operational needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure the timely replenishment of stock.
• Collaborate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any delays.
• Coordinate with internal departments to forecast material needs and align supply chain activities.
• Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies in all procurement activities.
• Generate reports and provide updates to management on material status and inventory levels.
• Address and resolve any material shortages or overstock issues proactively.

Profile

A successful Materials Planner should have:

• A background in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
