Description

• Manage 2nd line production support for critical Linux and AWS application services.

• Drive incident resolution and escalate issues to minimize business impact.

• Operate and support application deployments through Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments.

• Coordinate stakeholder communications and collaborate with development and support teams.

• Deliver on-call support as part of a rotational shift schedule.

• Create and maintain operational documentation and support processes.

• Lead service improvement initiatives by investigating defects and implementing fixes.

• Participate in disaster recovery testing and change management activities.

Profile

• Extensive experience supporting critical production applications in Linux (Red Hat) and AWS environments.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across AWS services like EC2, Lambda, EKS, and RDS.

• Proficient with IBM WebSphere MQ, Swift messaging, and application servers such as WebSphere and Apache Tomcat.

• Skilled in scripting languages like Shell and Python, with solid database query experience (PostgreSQL, DB2).

• Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, and release management.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to lead by example in delivering high-quality operational support.

Job Offer

The compensation for the VP, Infrastructure Application Support role is competitive, with a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 per year.
