Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial construction projects in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a focus on restaurant, retail, and office space builds and renovations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow within a well-established general contractor while gaining exposure to multiple project types.

Description

• Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day management of commercial construction projects.

• Support preconstruction activities including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and procurement.

• Track and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and design teams to maintain schedules and quality standards.

• Attend project meetings and help communicate progress, issues, and solutions.

• Monitor project costs and assist with buyout, billing, and closeout activities.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Profile

• 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically within restaurant, retail, or office space projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) is a plus.

• Motivated, team-oriented, and eager to advance into a Project Manager role.
