We are currently partnered up with an Aerospace Manufacturing Company in their search to add a Quality Supervisor to the team due to an internal promotion. This Quality Supervisor will report into the Director of Quality and will oversee a team of 4 quality professionals. The Quality Supervisor will be instrumental in driving product quality, process improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Description
The Quality Supervisor - Aerospace Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Supervise, train, and mentor quality inspectors, technicians, and other quality personnel.
- Manage daily quality control activities, including first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product release.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Review nonconformance reports, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues and maintain high standards of compliance. - Oversee calibration programs, gage R&R, and measurement system analyses.
- Participate in customer audits, regulatory audits, and internal quality system audits.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, including defect trends, rework, scrap, and supplier performance.
- Support the Quality Manager in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and reduce variation.
- Promote a safety-first, compliance-driven, and quality-focused culture.
Profile
The ideal Quality Supervisor - Aerospace Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within aerospace manufacturing or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA Part 21/145 regulations, and customer requirements.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Proficiency with inspection tools, CMM programming, GD&T, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, FMEA, corrective actions, and lean/six sigma methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and compliance-driven environment.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or equivalent certification.
- Experience with NADCAP audits and special processes.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and digital quality management systems.
Job Offer
The successful Quality Supervisor - Aerospace Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience
