Assistant Production Scheduler
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Production Scheduler to join our team in the Optical Manufacturing industry. This role involves supporting production scheduling processes to ensure efficiency and timely delivery of projects.

Description
• Supports the Production Planner/Scheduler. Attends all production meetings and conduct production meetings.
• Ensures procedures are followed correctly for entering GSS Labor time (GUI). Ensures GUI and all Router's, BOM's, and Work Orders on GSS are accurate -providing continual improvement.
• Ensures thorough planning and the proper coordination of departments that our customers receive outstanding product quality, service, and value.
• Issues Work Orders in GSS to generate MRP demand for purchasing.
• Key communicator between Production Lead, work cell leaders and other departments and management.
• Continually develops a system that will ensure the on-time delivery of the correct quality and quantity of materials and parts.
• Works with the Purchasing Planner for material schedules -supplier delivery.
• Responsible for the timely distribution of correct quality and quantity of material and product to customers, vendors, production, engineering, inventory, and other assigned locations per promise date targets.
• Strategically plans and schedules shop floor production with cell leads.
• Prepares and provides solutions to production bottlenecks at production planning meetings.
• Ensures that product movement is properly entered into the ERP system.
• Supports the promotion and cultivation of product pride and customer awareness within the department.
• Provides the necessary documentation to obtain stock material from inventory controller.
• Reports in detail to immediate supervisor progress towards individual assignments and projects.
• Daily summarizing/balancing of Production hours using Labor Balancing Reports in GSS

Profile
A successful Assistant Production Scheduler should have:
- Experience or educational background in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software or tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
