Cybersecurity Audit Manager

The Cybersecurity Audit Manager will lead technical audits across complex IT environments in Financial Services. Description

This role is available in: Jersey City, NJ, Boston, MA, Merrimack, NH, Covington, KY, Westlake, TX.

• Develop and execute comprehensive IT and Information Security audit plans and programs, including assessments of network, cloud, and application security.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of IT and security controls (e.g., access management, encryption, vulnerability management) and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform hands-on testing of APIs, databases, and cloud environments to validate security configurations and detect potential weaknesses.
• Analyze IT systems, applications, and security processes to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal security standards.
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen security posture, and mitigate risks.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay current on cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and regulatory changes impacting financial services.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in IT audit and security testing methodologies.

Profile

A successful Cybersecurity Audit Manager should have:

• Strong experience in IT audit with hands-on technical testing.
• Proficiency in auditing APIs, databases, network security, and cloud environments.
• Ability to perform security configuration reviews and vulnerability assessments across modern infrastructure.
• Knowledge of scripting or coding (e.g., SQL, Python) for data analysis and audit automation.
• Familiarity with containerized environments and orchestration platforms.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance in financial services.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, encryption, and secure software development practices.
