Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the month end close, financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Description

• As the Senior Accountant you will help prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee revenue recognition for various projects using ASC 606.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
• Support tax compliance and filings in coordination with tax consultants.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff as needed.
• This role is on site and based in South Scottsdale, AZ.

Profile

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices including ASC 606
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of WIP, Cost Accounting or % of completion is needed for this role.
• Preference to those that have accounting experience from construction, design build, engineering, or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• This role is on site and based in South Scottsdale, AZ.
