Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily Builder Developer

The Assistant Project Manager will support the successful execution of construction projects in the property industry, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role requires an individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of construction processes.

Description

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing construction projects from start to completion.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor project budgets and costs to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress.
  • Assist in resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
  • Support the Project Manager in achieving project goals and objectives.

Profile

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • 3 - 4+ years of experience
  • Experience with Ground Up, Luxury Multifamily
  • Bachelors degree in construction management or related field
  • A strong foundation in construction management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Job Requirements:

Assistant Construction Project Manager - $220M University will be responsible for:

Assisting & reporting to the PM/Super
Onsite in Northampton, MA daily
Participating in the design process providing budget, schedule, and construct-ability input
Reviewing and interpreting plans & specifications
Managing relationships and interfacing with appropriate personnel on a daily basis
Preparing requests for proposals, analyzing/aligning bids, making award recommendation
Negotiating and preparing construction & consultant contracts
Providing day-to-day management, technical direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities
Reviewing and tracking project invoices, RFIs, Submitals, Budgets
Developing, managing, and updating project schedule
Evaluating and negotiating pay requests and change orders
Administering punch list and project close-out activities
Reporting project status regularly
