Accountant

The Accountant will support accurate and timely financial reporting and monthly management accounts for schools across the Americas region. This role owns full-cycle accounting responsibilities for assigned schools or business units and provides balance sheet reconciliation oversight for non-centralized schools.

• Prepare journal entries, financial statements, account reconciliations, and analysis

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis

• Support capital expenditure and fixed asset accounting

• Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and financial obligations to support FP&A

• Ensure transactions comply with internal controls and accounting policies

• Prepare audit schedules and assist during annual audits

• Participate in ad hoc projects as needed

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Minimum 2 years of general accounting or financial reporting experience

• Strong Excel skills (PowerPoint also required)

• Experience with accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics/Navision a plus)

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
