EHS Specialist

This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations by developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that minimize risk and promote workplace safety. Description

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Provide training to employees on EHS protocols and best practices.
• Monitor and manage waste disposal and environmental impact processes.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.

Profile

• BA/BS degree in safety/environmental related field of study
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience applying OSHA and EPA regulations, with strong knowledge of compliance standards.
• Professional credentials such as ASP or CHMM preferred, along with prior exposure to industrial hygiene and environmental waste management.
• A strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to implement and manage EHS programs effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills for training and collaboration.
